Your voice, your story, your art — shaping how the world understands and prevents youth violence and crime.

Submission Deadline: 31 July 2026
About the Campaign

Your Story Can Change the World

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), under its "Gamechangers" initiative on strengthening innovative youth crime prevention — including through sport — is launching a Global Youth Art Campaign on Crime Prevention.

This campaign creates space for young people to share their realities, ideas, struggles, and hopes — and to help shape more effective approaches to preventing youth violence and crime.

It invites young people to express their perspectives through creative expression, challenging stereotypes, promoting understanding, and inspiring more youth-centered prevention efforts.

We especially welcome the voices of young people 18 to 29 years old who have experienced, observed, or been impacted by youth offending, violence or crime — including those engaged in the justice system.

Their stories can help shape how the world understands youth offending, violence, and what effective prevention should include.

Who Can Participate?

  • Young people aged 18 to 29 years old
  • Those who have experienced or observed youth violence or crime
  • Young people engaged with the justice system
  • Anyone with a story or perspective on crime prevention
  • Participants from all countries and backgrounds
  • All UN official languages are supported
